Who’s the biggest name on this list today? The annual NASCAR projections on it’s rising stars.
Shot on Canon 60d mostly with 70-200 2.8 IS while chasing around the then know NASCAR K&N Pro East and West Series.
In just three weeks, three race cars were built. Here’s the timelapse.
Doing time-lapses over extended periods of time can be challenging. One solution I’ve found is through old android phones using the ipwebcam app.
If the phone has connectivity you can upload images as they are taken to a dropbox.
It’s worthwhile to get the paid version.
We had the opportunity to shoot the maiden race of the freshly configured 4×4 Trophy Truck of Robby Gordon.
While an early driveshaft yolk setback took them out of contention for the day, the Unicorn made it to the finish without any other challenges.
On-board the Unicorn
If you watch to the end you’ll see the old Robby’s Uprising logo. I’m pretty sure we were doing social media before social media. Thanks, ning.
Right below the top 3 NASCAR series (Cup, Xfinity, Trucks) are the two NASCAR K&N Series (East and West). I came to think of it where stockcar dreams came to die.
At this level, it costs shy of a million dollars a year to race an entire season. Here you either shine or run your family out of money.
NASCAR hired me to give the series some love. I traveled, shot, edited, and turned around a finished product within 4 days.
I’ve made many pictures both in stills and video. Both are great visual mediums and great to understand. There is now a new skill set on the horizon.
Bang for the buck right now I would bet on live stream if you have something to sell.
In the coming months, I’ll be exploring different options, technology, software, camera gear, etc for extreme live stream broadcasting. Come visit livesteamunicorns.com
Going through some the old footage that I shot for NASCAR Hometracks (now dubbed NASCAR Roots) if found this shoot and edit.
Looking back at all my old videos I wish they had less music and more natural sounds. One of the things @planetrobby and myself have learned with motorsports videos through Stadium Super Trucks is music kills views.
This one was not terrible.
The part that got me was remembering Mike Stefanik. He was always great in victory and defeat.
